SUMMARY:Finishing Music in Ableton Live & 343 Labs Berlin Open House
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a free workshop geared to intermediate producers interested in learning techniques and exercises to finish more tracks with Ableton Live. Berlin producer and 343 Labs instructor Owen Ross explains some of his favorite strategies for finish music\, and previews aspects of the curriculum of 343 Labs Finishing Music Mastery and Electronic Music Composition and Arrangement courses. This workshop is designed for people who have some familiarity with producing music\, and people who have produced with Ableton or other software. There are no prerequisites to joining\, and you are not required to bring a laptop or any other materials. \nDuring the event\, 343 Labs will be opening its doors for an Open House\, where attendees can tour the facilities\, learn about 343 Labs courses\, and meet some of the instructors. This is a great way to get a feel for the community and programs at 343 Labs\, meet fellow producers\, and ask any questions you may have about our school. \nAbout the artists: \nOwen is a Berlin-based producer\, guitarist\, and music educator with a decade of experience bridging the worlds of live guitar playing and modern music production. A Berklee College of Music graduate\, he has worked across hip-hop\, electronic\, pop\, and global music — with credits including The Who\, Jazzanova\, Jaykae\, and Shekhinah — and has contributed multiple commercial sample packs to Splice. \nAs both a guitarist who produces and a producer who plays guitar\, Owen has spent years solving the same problem his students face: getting guitar to sit right in a modern mix. That question is what led him to build Guitar Mix Toolkit Vol. 1 — a set of Ableton tools designed specifically for producers who play guitar. Berlin producer\, DJ and 343 Labs instructor Peter Trimbacher gives an overview of producing music with Ableton Live including building a beat from scratch. Learn why Ableton Live is such a popular software among electronic music producers. This workshop is designed for beginners\, or people who have produced with other software and are interested in getting started with Ableton. There are no prerequisites to joining\, we’ll meet you at the start of you music production journey. \nDuring the event\, 343 Labs will be opening its doors for an Open House\, where attendees can tour the facilities\, learn about 343 Labs courses\, and meet some of the instructors. This is a great way to get a feel for the community and programs at 343 Labs\, meet fellow producers\, and ask any questions you may have about our school. \nAbout the artist: \nKeanu Raves\, the alias of Berlin-based Aotearoa techno stalwart Cameron Hoy\, has been making moves across the international underground since the project’s inception in 2018. Beginning with the establishment of Club Unique in his hometown of Ōtautahi (Christchurch\, NZ)\, he breathed new life in to the South Island’s techno and wider dance music scenes through a weekly radio show\, regular rave events\, and curating a record label featuring much of the city’s finest production talent. \nThis\, along with his distinct sound defined by Detroit-style grooves and reverb heavy chord stabs straight out of Berlin\, has seen the burgeoning producer release on the likes of HAVEN\, Diffuse Reality\, Mood Supplier\, Synapsa\, Rave Your Soul\, and Trau-ma – leading to support from the likes of Perc\, Robert Hood\, Bailey Ibbs\, Steve Bicknell\, Rebecca Della Piane and more.
