SUMMARY:Grooves Masterclass with Drinho
DESCRIPTION:Grooves are Ableton’s way of applying different rhythmic feels to MIDI tracks\, helping to give music a more human element. In this masterclass\, Brazilian house producer and 343 Labs intern Pedro Freitas\, aka DRINHO\, shares his insights on using grooves when crafting his own music. Understand the elements that make you move on a dance track and how to move your music off the grid in a way that sounds great.  Expect a full dive into Ableton’s Groove Pool along with various techniques to make your music come alive. \nAbout the Artist: \nPedro Freitas a.k.a. DRINHO is a Brazilian artist based in Berlin\, shaping modern dance music through energetic grooves and minimal\, emotionally driven textures. With a background in audio production and sound engineering\, his sound combines precise mixing\, evolving arrangements\, and groove-focused structures. \nSince his first release in 2022\, he has built his presence through labels such as Whoyostro (Kyiv\, UA)\, VARE Records (Berlin\, DE)\, and Sintoniza Records (Chapecó\, BR)\, with tracks reaching Beatport charts and Berlin dancefloors like Sisyphos\, Renate\, and Ritter Butzke. Alongside his main project\, he explores broader musical influences through his alias Sonarium\, where he also released his first Album “Nuances of Groove”. \n\nLinks:\nSoundcloud

SUMMARY:Finishing Tracks With Biesmans - Live Studio Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Most producers don’t have an unfinished track problem. They have a too-much-going-on problem. Too many elements\, too many layers\, too many decisions left unmade. The track loses its identity somewhere in the process. \nThis workshop is about finding it again. \n  \nBiesmans — Berlin-based producer and DJ with nearly 30 years in the house and techno scene — opens up his actual working process in real time. No slides\, no theory\, no tutorial. Just a real track getting meaningfully better in front of the room. \nHow it works: \nParticipants submit an unfinished track in advance. Biesmans selects one\, preps it\, and works on it live during the session — talking through every decision as he makes it. The rest of the time is open Q&A where participants can bring their own questions and challenges. \nFormat: \n\nDuration: 3 hours\nParticipants submit one track + one question before the workshop\nLive session: 90–120 minutes\nOpen Q&A: 60 minutes\nWrap + next steps: 15 minutes\n\nAbout the artists: \nI’m Biesmans—Belgian-born\, Berlin-based. I make “Heart Groove”: house music that’s supposed to do three things: make you move\, make you feel something\, and connect you with the people around you. \nThe sound? Warm grooves\, analog synths\, melodies you’ll remember on the way home. Nothing overly complicated. Music that works on a dance floor — the kind that needs a few hours to really take you somewhere. \nI’ve played some incredible club spaces: Panoramabar\, Fabric\, Fuse\, Dedge. Festival stages: Tomorrowland\, Pukkelpop\, Exit\, Fusion. And plenty more rooms in between. \nMy music’s been released on Running Back\, Turbo Recordings\, Correspondant\, and my own label Muem Records. Made an album called Trains\, Planes and Automobiles\, and put together the Watergate 28 compilation with people like Mathew Jonson\, Zombies in Miami\, Kasper Bjørke\, and Shubostar. \nI’m passionate about synths — spend way too much time in the studio messing with machines and posting (POVs) about it. That’s how the music gets made: trial\, error\, and finding sounds that hit right. Currently working on a new album for 2026. Same mission as always: create moments on dancefloors where people lose themselves\, feel good\, and remember why they love this music in the first place. \nLinks: \nSoundcloud\nInstagram \n\n\n\n \n  \nBy attending this event\, you acknowledge that you may be photographed or recorded. Your entry to the event constitutes your consent to such recording and to the use of your likeness in any and all media for marketing and promotional purposes by 343 Labs.

SUMMARY:Ableton For Guitarists with Owen Ross
DESCRIPTION:Producers who play guitar often hit the same wall: the guitar sounds good\, but getting it to sit right in a modern mix is another story. Owen Ross built Guitar Mix Toolkit Vol. 1 to solve exactly that — and in this session he’s demonstrating it publicly for the first time.\nAbleton User Group Berlin is open to producers\, songwriters\, DJs\, and musicians of all types and proficiency levels who use Ableton and are looking to exchange ideas\, network\, meet like-minded producers\, and learn new tips and tricks from our presenters and fellow participants. \nAbout the Artist: \nOwen is a Berlin-based producer\, guitarist\, and music educator with a decade of experience bridging the worlds of live guitar playing and modern music production. A Berklee College of Music graduate\, he has worked across hip-hop\, electronic\, pop\, and global music — with credits including The Who\, Jazzanova\, Jaykae\, and Shekhinah — and has contributed multiple commercial sample packs to Splice.\n \nAs both a guitarist who produces and a producer who plays guitar\, Owen has spent years solving the same problem his students face: getting guitar to sit right in a modern mix. That question is what led him to build Guitar Mix Toolkit Vol. 1 — a set of Ableton tools designed specifically for producers who play guitar. He teaches music production and songwriting at 343 Labs in Berlin.\n\nLinks:\nWebsite

SUMMARY:Immersive\, Evolving Soundscapes Masterclass with NAOBA
DESCRIPTION:343 Labs Berlin is proud to welcome NAOBA as part of our Visiting Artist Masterclass series! \nIn this workshop\, NAOBA will share her process of building Ableton Live templates that allow her to create and transform sound in real time during performances. Using her archive of field recordings\, NAOBA designs flexible systems with Max for Live devices\, custom effect chains\, and macro-mapped MIDI controllers\, allowing the templates to function as expressive instruments alongside live flute and voice. \nNAOBA will demonstrate how raw environmental recordings are organized\, layered\, and continuously reshaped through macro controls\, spatial effects\, and live processing. This approach enables fluid improvisation and the creation of immersive\, evolving soundscapes during concerts or streaming performances. \nThere will also be space for discussion and questions about workflow\, template architecture\, and creative approaches to sound design and live performance. \nAbout the Artist:\n \nTamara Montenegro (NAOBA) is a sound artist\, producer\, and researcher working at the intersection of bioacoustics\, psychoacoustics\, and music composition. Her practice explores how sound shapes human perception\, emotional states\, and the nervous system\, drawing deeply from field recordings collected in forests\, oceans\, and remote ecosystems. Through these recordings\, she creates immersive soundscapes that reconnect listeners with the living intelligence of the Earth. \nTamara holds a Master’s degree in Sound Art from the Universitat de Barcelona and a background in Biology\, which informs her scientific and ecological approach to listening. Her work spans music releases\, spatial sound installations\, workshops\, and research initiatives such as Heart in Nature and the Gaia Sound Temple\, platforms dedicated to preserving and transmitting the voices of natural environments. \nPerforming and releasing music under the name NAOBA\, she combines organic recordings with synthesis and production techniques to create deeply atmospheric compositions. Through her workshops\, she shares practical tools and creative approaches for transforming raw environmental sound into expressive\, emotionally resonant sonic works.
