Ableton For Guitarists with Owen Ross

Producers who play guitar often hit the same wall: the guitar sounds good, but getting it to sit right in a modern mix is another story. Owen Ross built Guitar Mix Toolkit Vol. 1 to solve exactly that — and in this session he’s demonstrating it publicly for the first time.

Ableton User Group Berlin is open to producers, songwriters, DJs, and musicians of all types and proficiency levels who use Ableton and are looking to exchange ideas, network, meet like-minded producers, and learn new tips and tricks from our presenters and fellow participants.

Über den Künstler:

Owen is a Berlin-based producer, guitarist, and music educator with a decade of experience bridging the worlds of live guitar playing and modern music production. A Berklee College of Music graduate, he has worked across hip-hop, electronic, pop, and global music — with credits including The Who, Jazzanova, Jaykae, and Shekhinah — and has contributed multiple commercial sample packs to Splice.

As both a guitarist who produces and a producer who plays guitar, Owen has spent years solving the same problem his students face: getting guitar to sit right in a modern mix. That question is what led him to build Guitar Mix Toolkit Vol. 1 — a set of Ableton tools designed specifically for producers who play guitar. He teaches music production and songwriting at 343 Labs in Berlin.
