Speaker Honey “How to Navigate the Music Industry” Masterclass – presented by FLINTA Music Producers of Berlin and 343 Labs

Kirsty Parker, aka Speaker Honey, is a classically-trained musician turned electronic music producer, DJ, and record label head from Los Angeles, California. Her sounds span techno, electro, trance and beyond. From bedroom producer to touring artist, working with coveted labels such as Mau5trap, Octopus Recordings & more, launching her own 3 Flame Records and recording studio; this story is one for the books.

For this special Masterclass, presented in collaboration with FLINTA* Producers of Berlin, Speaker Honey will visit 343 Labs at Riverside Studios to talk personally about this journey.

The topics of this class will address key information on maintaining professional credibility in the music scene, including the unspoken language of studio politics, the challenges and rewards of presenting one’s self as an artist, and how to navigate life before and after getting signed.

About the presenter:

Speaker Honey, is a music production and DJ art project created by Kirsty (Kiki) Parker. Speaker Honey sonically and visually reflects the most current sounds of electronic dance music, influenced by the underground and mainstage sounds spanning the United States, Europe and Japan. Dark, heavily electronic, and futuristic…are easy words to describe Speaker Honey. Personally, Kiki shines with immense positive energy and an obvious passion for the pursuit of recording and performing the musical artists as a whole.

Since her first release in 2019 on mau5trap WAFV9, Speaker Honey continued to release three four track eps on mau5trap. During this time, releases included an official deadmau5 remix, and following releases on Octopus Records, Jannowitz Records, Berlin based SNOE records, Set About records and a selection of high profile remixes. Now Speaker Honey’s most current releases are featured on her own label, 3 Flame Records, which is dually based out of Downtown Los Angeles and Berlin. She is building the 3 Flame Records Studio 13 now at Riverside Studios Berlin, and is beginning to work towards a hardware liveset.

In this masterclass, Ableton Certified Trainer Peter Trimbacher will discuss the importance of expression in digitally-made music, giving an overview of producing music with Ableton Live and the techniques he uses to get his ideas from his head to his DAW. Learn music production tips and tricks and why Ableton Live is a popular software among music producers. There will be material for beginner and more experienced producers, so it doesn’t matter what level of producer you are; you are welcome to attend and learn new ideas. 

During the first part of the event, 343 Labs will present an Open House, where attendees can meet some of the instructors, network with like-minded producers, and learn about 343 Labs courses. This is an excellent opportunity to get a feel for the community and programs at 343 Labs and ask any questions you may have about our school.

About the artist: Originally from Australia and now based in Berlin, Peter Trimbacher has been involved in the electronic music industry for 20 years as an artist, event promoter, independent label owner, and educator. Using Ableton Live as his centerpiece, Peter DJs and performs live improvisations under the moniker Metapattern, focusing on 90s techno with a modern twist. His works can be heard on labels such as MORD, Truncate, Float, and Hayes. Pete is an Ableton-certified trainer, a regular freelance contributor of technical production articles, and the recent author of The Secrets of Techno Production, published by Attack Magazine UK.

Ireen Amnes “Shaping Sounds from Feedback Noise” Masterclass – presented by FLINTA Music Producers of Berlin and 343 Labs

Ireen Amnes, singular techno producer and Tresor resident, visits 343 Labs at Riverside Studios on February 12th to offer insight into her creative process using noise and industrial elements to create unique rhythms and textures in her productions. This masterclass will focus specifically on generating noise from feedback, shaping this sound for a variety of purposes, and using it creatively in your own productions. Don’t miss this free one-time workshop and be sure to stop by Tresor two days after the masterclass to see Ireen’s upcoming DJ set.

About the presenter:

Ireen Amnes is a Berlin/London-based artist, producer, and DJ known for her genre-defying approach to the leftfield side of electronic music, blending noise, industrial elements, and experimental sounds. Originally a metal singer and instrumentalist, she transitioned into electronic music, crafting moody, hardware-driven live sets that merge melancholic atmospheres with distorted rhythms. In 2015, she founded Under My Feet., a collective and label exploring power electronics and experimental sounds.

As a resident DJ at Tresor Berlin, Ireen’s performances fuse avant-garde textures with techno rhythms, earning her spots at iconic venues like Berghain, Kraftwerk, Basement NY, and festivals such as Atonal and CTM Vorspiel. Renowned for her genre-defying productions, Ireen has collaborated with acclaimed artists like Imogen Heap, Drew McDowall of Coil, Sorcery, Chloe Lula, and Kamikaze Space Programme. Alongside her music career, Ireen is dedicated to empowering underrepresented communities in electronic music through educational initiatives and workshops.

Presented by 343 Labs, this series showcases forward-thinking techno spinners alongside avant-garde live acts and carefully curated artists who push the boundaries of electronic music. Each event is a dynamic collision of sound, bringing together a singular sample of Berlin’s vibrant, ever-evolving music scene.

At its core, 343 m / s serves as a platform for emerging artists and pioneering producers—some of whom are graduates from the 343 Labs music production program—giving these artists the opportunity to showcase their work to an enthusiastic audience.

This series promotes our values of inclusivity, excellence, and artistic freedom in the Berlin music scene. Only positive vibes are welcome in our space. In order to maintain a safe space for our community, we will not tolerate any acts of hate, discrimination, or disrespect. Renowned mixing and mastering engineer Sascha “Busy” Bühren walks us through past projects in various genres to demonstrate his workflow, mixing and mastering entirely ‘in the box’ using DAW-based tools and processes. Busy will touch on topics such as dealing with difficult tracks, organizing multichannel sessions, and transitioning successfully from working in a more traditional, professional recording studio to a private/home studio. Busy uses Logic Pro, Steinberg WaveLab, SpectraLayers, Isotope RX, and plugins from SSL, Plugin Alliance, UAD, and Native Instruments.

HEDD Audio will facilitate the demonstration with an impressive monitoring system that is perfect for professional and home studios.
