As this community exists through all of you, we are happy to hear your ideas for these meetups and to listen to each other’s music projects (if you are searching for feedback, don’t be shy :D).

Join us on Thursday, April 27, for a free music production masterclass and 343 Labs Open House. In this masterclass, producer and multi instrumentalist Owen Ross will demonstrate his process for developing ideas from beats and loops into songs. Using Ableton Live as a platform, he will guide us through his use of melody, harmony, and production techniques to add dynamics and song structures to his productions. There will be material both for beginner and more experienced producers, so it doesn’t matter what level of producer you are to attend and learn new ideas.  

During the event, 343 Labs will be opening its doors for an Open House, where attendees can tour the facilities, learn about 343 Labs courses, and meet some of the instructors. This is a great way to get a feel for the community and programs at 343 Labs, meet fellow producers, and ask any questions you may have about our school.

About the artist: Owen Ross is a producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist who uses Ableton live to create hip hop, R&B, and experimental music. In addition to his own music he is one half of the production duo Re.decay, who host songwriting/production camps all over the world. His works can be heard on Wolf + Lamb, Springstoff, and his own label RDK Records.

Description: Join us on Thursday, April 13,for a free music production masterclass and 343 Labs Open House. In this masterclass, Ableton Certified Trainer Peter Trimbacher will demonstrate his creative music production process and the techniques he uses to get his ideas from his head to his DAW, Ableton Live. Learn music production tips and tricks and why Ableton Live is such a popular software amongst music producers. There will be material both for beginner and more experienced producers, so it doesn’t matter what level of producer you are to attend and learn new ideas. 

During the event, 343 Labs will be opening its doors for an Open House, where attendees can tour the facilities, learn about 343 Labs courses, and meet some of the instructors. This is a great way to get a feel for the community and programs at 343 Labs, meet fellow producers, and ask any questions you may have about our school.

About the artist: Using Ableton Live at the center, Peter Trimbacher DJs and performs live improvisations under the moniker Metapattern which is a techno project encompassing many sub-genres such as broken beat, industrial, rave, polyrhythmic and deep styles. His works can be heard on labels such as Machine Label (AU), Raven Sigh (CA), Måinmise Records (FR), and Krill Music (AR). Pete contributes regularly to UK-based Attack magazine as a writer of technical production articles and is also well-versed in higher education curriculum design and review.

Join us on Wednesday, February 22, for a free music production masterclass and Open House with Ableton-Certified Trainer Max Wild. In this masterclass, Max will break down one of his tracks and show how he approaches making music in the DAW. He will be covering everything from melody writing and arrangement to sound design, effects processing, and basic mixing. There will be material both for both beginner and more experienced producers, so it doesn’t matter what level of producer you are to attend and learn new ideas.

About the artist: Max is an Ableton Certified Trainer who has been teaching music for over 15 years. A former instructor at NYC’s Dubspot, you are as likely to find him playing the saxophone next to a DJ as you are to find him leading the Ableton User Groups. His degrees from renowned conservatories in London and New York didn’t stop him from following his real passion: Helping people channel their creativity into making music – aka teaching how to produce great music.
