About the artist:

Alaa is a Berlin-based DJ, music curator, and founder of Djoid, the award-winning music curation platform built for DJs. With over 15 years of experience collecting and performing music, he has built a library of more than 30,000 tracks that shape his sound identity.

Before starting Djoid, Alaa led Data and Music Insights at Native Instruments, where he worked closely with artists and the global DJ community to understand how technology can support creativity.

Driven by the challenge of preparing DJ sets from vast collections, he created Djoid to give DJs new ways to organize, tag, and design their music into stories. At this workshop, Alaa will share both his personal approach to music preparation and practical techniques using Djoid, showing how to think in chapters, tag efficiently, and transform gig prep into an inspiring part of the art.
